Remember the Titans!

If you need some inspiration when it comes to this market just watch “Remember the Titans!” I say this because we must remember who we are in this market and work like those on the Titans team worked and people will remember us. I really believe that this teamwork dedication and hard work is what is needed today in this market.

When you are down due to the situations like empty homes, short sale negotiations, troubles with buyers who won’t commit, troubles with sellers who can’t sell at a low enough price…”Listen baby ain’t no mountain high enough…. Ain’t no mountain wide enough…” we will work through this difficult market.

We will persevere!

We will work like a team all together throughout the whole country from hard hit Michigan to Florida to California and I believe we will survive and even be stronger thanks to these difficult times and much like the team of the Titans, we will be here doing business today and ready for when the market really roars back whenever that is for our part of the country.

I admit this is one of my all time favorite movies. I love “everywhere you go, people want to know who we are, so we tell them. We are the Titans. The mighty mighty Titans.” We all need this kind of encouragement sometimes and in today’s market in Real Estate this is one of those times. But I do believe that “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough….”

Many people are having a wonderful spring market and the public just needs to hear our great stories. Here are a couple success stories for Ann Arbor, Michigan the sale of a 4.5 million dollar home in Saline, Michigan and a home backing the Arboretum in Ann Arbor got 7 offers on the home! This all happened this year and this market folks (Spring 2008!). It is happening now and the signs are showing that the market is turning for our area. Now we just need everyone to watch the movie and understand we all in this together: the Realtors, Mortgage Professionals and the buying and selling public. The mountain of recovery seemed very high…but we are coming out on the other side.

Can you sing with me…”Ain’t no mountain high enough!”

Just got off the phone with Christa and she got a call that another offer had come in so she is re-doing her's in the morning. It brings a whole other groups of challenges but I am up for the challenge.

Hey Karen,

Nice post.   I am moving forward in my own business and believe that success is available to all that have an attitude of prosperity.  How is your attitude?

Karen, it's one my favorite upbeat movies too. Taking those underdogs all the way up through to a championship. Wonderful story.

Hey, Karen...kudos to you for passing around the inspiration. It's a cooperative business, and the tough times unfortunately test people's ability to trust and to be trustworthy. Those that stick together will emerge all the stronge. Ain't no mountain high enough!

I heard Michael McDonald sing this in concert...great song, and I am sorry to say I haven't caught this movie yet, but on your recommendation, I will now! Thanks!

That actor Ryan Gosling was "lights out" in the thriller Fracture with Anthony Hopkins, too.
