Make Lemonade!

This morning at the office meeting, I started saying this, and my entire team completed my sentence. 

"I guess I've said that before", I asked. 

They all nodded "yes" in unison. 

"What other things do I say frequently", I asked.    Apparently, I have plenty of favorite sayings.  Here is a list of "the Mirela'isms" they came up with:

"You can't make chicken soup out of chicken s__t!"

"We're in deep doo-doo."

"Under-promise and Over-deliver!"

"You can lose the deal, but don't lose the client!"

"Never, never, never give up!"

"If they throw you out the door, come back through the window."

"Liars can figure, but figures don't lie."

"You can't be a little bit pregnant or a little bit of a liar."

Great post my friend and my dad would always say "It's a long way from your heart" when I would complain as a youngster when I had a cold or something minor wrong with me.  My dad was a farmer and the hardest worker I have ever seen in my life.  He had no patience for laziness and unless it was your heart you had no reason to not be working!

Anyway, I don't know who to attribute this saying to, but there are two variations:

"Never argue with an idiot. The people watching might not know the difference."


"Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."

I get a chuckle everytime I think about this.  Have a great day!
