Texting clients, other Realtors(R) /secret Agents (you only get this if you read my blogs) or service providers in your transaction. So, do you do it? DO you text them? I do! I always have and I remember
when people thought it was rude to text! But sorry to disappoint you /or break your "non technology way" of life, but TECHNOLOGY IS HERE TO STAY and we will get a new technique in the next year or two or month... TEXTING is a communication that is easy and you can get your message across within seconds. Beacause I will tell you, nothing is more annoying then getting a 20 minute recorded message to leave a 30 second message.
"This is Lauren Selinsky with CA Coastal Estates, CDM, Can we see your property tomorrow at 711 Ocean Blvd? Please call to confirm for an 11am appt? Thank you." Typically, I will get 1 out of 9 agents that actually pick up a phone.
So, I send a text. I usually start out with, I tried calling, but there was no answer, so I left a message.
I get a response within seconds or under 10minutes, on average. Don't get me wrong, there are some that don't respond at all! via text.
My recent closing in Laguna Beach. I spoke to the husband quite a bit when we needed to talk, but he also would text often his wife was a big TEXTER! So, my advice to you is, sit with your clients and be up front and ask this question.
What form of communication should we use throughout our transaction? Simple. Then, you have no issues later on communication, at least you hope not.
TO TEXT OR NOT TO TEXT? Again, I say, "yes" as long as the client is ok with that.
My escrow officer just sent me a text "we are confirmed!!" Gotta love texting if you don't I might not be able to be your friend. J/K
