Columbia Gorge Sales overview April 2008

Now for a combined look at sales for the entire Columbia Gorge Region in April 2008.  Here are the cities and towns reporting sales. Starting from west to east.

• Hood River-9 sales
• Hood River/westside-3 sales
• Odell-2 sales
• Parkdale-1 sale
• Husum-1 sale
• Lyle-3 sales
• Dallesport/Murdock-1 sale
• Mosier-1 sale
• The Dalles-15 sales
• Goldendale-2 sales

This gives us a total of 47 homes sold Gorge wide in the month of April 2008.  I guess the best news is that there currently are 61 homes sale pending. So if most of these actually close in May it will raise our sales volume considerably. Plus we may get more quick close sales in May that aren't currently under contract.

From this data it appears that Klickitat, Hood River, and Wasco Counties are remaining at about the same sales volume fairly consistently so far this year and in Skamania County sales have dropped. It is hard to predict what will happen but one thing is certain, we need more buyers and sales in the gorge.
