Here are 10 Easy Steps to Recycling at Home, a great way to save water, conserve energy, save taxpayers money and save precious landfill space.

1. Call your garbage company.

2. Request a recycling bin for curbside pickup.

3. Remove lids from containers (bottles, cans, jars and jugs).

4. Empty liquids from containers.

5. Put empty containers in your recycling bin.

6. Remove newspaper from plastic bags.

7. Store newspapers in paper grocery bags.

8. When paper bag is full, place it on top of full recycling bin.

9. Set bin out at the curb on garbage day.

10. Bring bin back inside and start over again!    In Gwinnett County, all residential waste haulers are required to pick up the following recyclables with your curbside garbage service:

·    Newspapers & inserts

•    Plastic soda, water, juice, detergent & milk bottles

·    Aluminum cans

·    Steel cans

·    Glass bottles & jars

These are some great ideas. We should all do more when it comes to recycling. If everyone just tried 1% more in the US our world would be a better place. Thanks, Keith

Good post. It's always good to be reminded of ways to go green. Some people don't know about these little things...such as taking the newspaper out of the plastic bag.
