The greater Los Angeles Real Estate Market is on fire. It is hot just like the summer temperatures in Los Angeles, that is how hot the real estate market is? This post was inspired by one of my Active Rain friends. She asked us to write what it’s like in our community. How hot is the temperature during the summer and what are the outdoor activities like in our community?
I thought about it and realized what a great benefit this post would be for those who are considering relocating to Los Angeles and vicinity. Los Angeles has always been a destination place from all over the world. People dream of relocating to Southern California and specifically the greater Los Angeles area.
Well the Real Estate Market is hot! Those of you who read my Los Angeles Real Estate Market reports, know, I have been highlighting the price increases, as well as the shortage of inventory for the past three years. Also compared the various communities in the greater Los Angeles area, such as Beverly Hills and Malibu to name a few in the Luxury and Ultra Luxury Real Estate markets.
Needless to say, this phenomenon also applies to lesser known communities of Los Angeles such as Westchester and Playa Del Rey to name a few. The common thread is, that prices have been increasing since 2012 and earlier and the inventory has remained tight.
In case you did not know, Los Angeles is about sixty square miles and we have many housing options. Those who like a vibrant Downtown life well we actually have two, the “real downtown Los Angeles” as well as Century City. Both red hot, very trendy as well as desirable. Those who want more of a suburban feel there is of course West Los Angeles and Brentwood to name a few.
Now if you are looking to live next to the Pacific Ocean or being in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean. There are communities like Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. The price points vary from the mid $600,000 to $150,000,000. Whatever your budget can afford or whatever you are willing to spend. I have represented buyers and sellers in the low end as well as the ultra-high end. They all were happy to buy or if they sold to move up to the next level. Many of my clients have bought multiple homes and this allows them to enjoy the beach as well as the urban life at their convenience whatever the mood strikes them.
One might ask why is Los Angeles and vicinity so desirable? Why is the market so hot? Well the answer is quite easy. The communities I mentioned have a very temperate climate and the Pacific Ocean breeze provides this for us Angelinos. These areas are all within ten miles or closer to the beach hence we always have the opportunity to enjoy water activities, if we so choose. This reason alone would make someone relocate to the Greater Los Angeles area. Often times my clients want a second home and it has to be either in Beverly Hills or Malibu. (They are generally from other parts of the US or the Globe)
No matter what your budget is, we can find you a home in the Greater Los Angeles area, so with that said if you would like to relocate to this great destination place, please reach out to me directly. I have relocated about 20+ years ago and never regretted it, neither will you.
