I've just stepped out on faith here and I'm going to take a flight to see my family in 2 weeks. As we ALL know the price of gas has gone thru the roof and can you believe the ticket I paid for is roughly 1/4th the cost if I drove. That is real sad. Now I understand when people say if they have to drive more than 200 miles it's less expensive for them to fly.  It's been since summer of 1987 since I've been in an airplane and I hope over the past 21 years there has been some advancement in safety.

No there has to have been. I need a break from everything here and I need to relax my mind. I need to do nothing for a few days and rejuvenate the brain and come back refreshed and ready to hit it again. So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Thanking you in advance.

Enjoy your trip!  I just got back from mine and the amount of money we spent on gas was unbelieveable.

I'm seeing that. I have to step out here and know God will protect me. He has alot of work for me to do.

Have a wonderful and relaxing trip!  I used to be a bit fearful about flying but now I find it quite easy...except for the security lines etc.  I'm sure you will have a safe trip!

Hi Robert -- Dr. John and I fly quite a bit all over the U.S. and out over the Pacific Ocean.  We've had all sorts of "flight moments."  Some have been un-nerving, and when they have we look at each other and point to the wings and together see the Lord's angels with their wings piloting the wings of the aircraft.

Air travel is very safe, but we always welcome His angels along the way.  Enjoy your trip, and take along His angels.  God bless you!

Sally. In Hawaii i assume you have to fly more. After 21 it's time.

Hugh. You are definitely correct. His hands are pretty broad.

Wow! You haven't flown for a long time!

Summer of 87, you say?

July 1st, 1987 I flew out with a buddy from Detroit to Los Angeles to check out Hollywood and have a little fun for a while and return home to MI. We both ended up staying out in CA for many, many years! Met my wife there, went to college there, had our kids there.

And now, we enjoy Greenville.

Where are you flying to?

Gas is killing me! I paid $99 to top off my tank today!

You'll be just fine in the friendly skies. I've flown a lot in the past five years nationally and internationally, flying is still by far safer than driving. I enjoy watching take offs and landings from the window seat but on international flights it is much more convenient to have the aisle (especially is you need to get up and walk or use the bathroom). Take care!

A plane ride is very safe...the newspapers you see printing all the accidents of planes just do it because it is so sensational....

Rest easy bro.....

=-)

Once they stopped allowing smoking on airplanes- my life got much easier.  I used to get extremely sick & thought it was motion sickness, not so - the smoke was getting me.

I fly in 3 weeks - have a safe peaceful flight.

kathleen. I'm with you on that one. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke also. I'm glad they cut that one out.

Robert ~ You'll be fine. I LOVE to fly. The longest I've been in the air was 8 hours to Germany.

Remember this...The same God that keeps us on the ground doing all the driving that we do daily in real estate is the same God who keeps us in the air.

Robert,  I drove to Phila.,Pa and it cost me $250. for gas and tolls.  2 weeks later I flew for $141.00.  It definitely is cheaper to fly, plus I gained 2 extra days to visit (versus driving) but I suspect that will change real soon.

Robert,,I have to agree with Vickie above...I travel for business, and there is no comparison of cost any more...Say your prayers and enjoy the flight...The numbers are so overwhelmingly in your favor to have a good flight.. like 100 million to less than one..SOmetimes I see a number of accidents by car in my days travel..You will be fine..Take a laptop and write a post or two

The LORD goes with you when you are HIS, even in planes :)

I do understand somewhat though.  I haven't flown since 9-11.

Hope you enjoy your trip.
