Bob and I toured El Principal Winery, it is a very pretty winery. It has the Andes as a backdrop plus you when you go up to some of the hills you can see all the way to Santiago. We toured the facilities and then we got a tasting of their 3 red wines. Calicanto, Memorias and El Principal.
Calicanto is their value wine and I thought it was darn good for $17 it is full of fruits and cinnamon flavor it does taste a bit young but I loved it. Memorias was more elegant and sophisticated it also had more structure still had lots of fruit flavor and a long finish. El Principal was excellent but at $130 a bottle it has a lot of competition at that price level.
