Let's Face it. You are probably missing at least one of the 5 Real Estate Products and Services You Can't Live Without! Real Estate is a tough business. You have clients coming and going and properties selling or not selling. You are making calls, highlighting listing presentations, office property tours and so much more.

Your time is valuable.

I am going to help simplify your day to day life.Now I may or may not recommend these solutions by name, so keep an eye open for the recommendations that I do make and if you don’t have it, get it.

Of course, by now, you should all have a website, a blog, social media presence and a recognizable brand. No really! If not, call me ASAP (262) 751-5168. I mean it!

So let's start with some things that will make your life easier.

Here are 5 Real Estate Products and Services You Can't Live Without :

  1. Online Presence. This includes all of the things above: Website, Blog, Social Media, Recognizable Brand, etc. It's an online world today and even if you are marketing locally, people still want to search for information online.
  2. Utilize your database for profit. Clean it up and purge old items.Your Database. Not just any database, but one that is organized, categorized and utilized. How long have you been in the real estate business? When was the last time you went through your database and purged the really old data, updated the new data or used any of the data? It's great to have lots of names in your database but if you don't use them, you may as well just delete the whole thing. Are you keeping in touch with past clients? Do you make offers to recent buyers? Are you contacting the fence sitters to remind them why now is the best time to buy? Get this done and do it now. Your database can be the most expensive tool you are not using!
  3. Cloud Storage. Remember last week when you went to that listing appointment and you had forgotten to bring an actual agreement? Don't ever let that happen again! Use cloud storage to have access to any document at any time. Share documents with team members, clients or whomever else you deem qualified to be vested in that document. Now you can store the document online in the cloud and anyone can make changes and updates to the documents with proper authorization and their changes will be saved in a new document in case you don't want to make changes. Just a few of these companies are Google Drive, Dropbox, The Box, iCloud Drive and Carbonite. Prices vary and the amount of storage space you need is up to you!
  4. Home Warranties as a Branding Tool. Find a Home Warranty company you trust, first of all, then see if you can make a deal to either sell their warranty to buyers and sellers or give it away as an added bonus in the transaction. I guarantee there are very few agents who take this extra step.
  5. Use a professional camera to get the best photos for your client's listings. DSLR Camera. People are very visual. I cannot tell you the number of listings I have seen online where the photos of the listing are horrible. Either the light is too dim or too bright, the living room looks like a closet, the bathroom terrible and seat is left up. Ohhhhh! It gives me shivers just thinking about it. You want your sellers happy with the quality you offer and you want your buyers to be impressed. Get a decent camera with a wide angle lens and don't forget to get additional lighting. Bring the trouble light from your garage if you have to, but be sure every room is lit and recognizable.
  6. Docusign & Dotloop. These are two of the best time savers ever! Use Docusign to sign documents anywhere from any device. A couple taps on your smartphone and you're done! Also, it's instantaneous. No more waiting for emailed or faxed documents. They are right there, right now. Dotloop allows you to save time and paper. Upload your documents, eSignatures, storage and compliance and get paperwork to your clients, lenders, virtual assistants or anyone who has authority. Get more work done faster.

Great information, Kathy. We've been using a photographer to take listing photos, but are in the process of looking for a camera that we can use.  Like you, we feel pictures are a crucial part of marketing.

I've had a virtual assistant since 2009 and have loved it ever since.  Not sure I agree with the Home Warranty.

I love the listings that come in from clients. I really don't like to have to spend lots of time trying to update the poor photos that come in, however. If you say there are no animals, I don't want the big black cat laying in the living room in the photo!!
