The 13th Annual Walk for the Animals - Rain or Shine!

May 10, 2008 at Bluemont Park - 8:30 AM

On Saturday, May 10th (rain or shine), the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will kick off Arlington's Neighborhood Day with the 13th Annual Walk for the Animals to help raise money for homeless animals in our community. Come join nearly 500 people and 300 dogs at Bluemont Park for a 3-mile walk or a 1-mile stroll -- or simply come and enjoy the various activities and demonstrations.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is a private, non-profit, progressive humane society with more than 60 years of experience helping animals, their families and the community. The League is committed to the humane treatment of animals and to the promotion of animal welfare. The League provides temporary care and refuge for homeless and suffering animals; places animals in loving, responsible homes; prevents cruelty to animals; provides animal control services; educates the public; and provides community services.

All proceeds from the Walk will help the League to continue this important work.
