Weight-Loss Challenge: Week 17

This has been a roller coaster week for me. Truly an emotional up and down all at the same time. I took a break from work for the weekend and didn't really think about the weight loss issue. Suddenly, it didn't feel important anymore. That I have much more to celebrate in my life than just each pound every week - even though that has given me a good focus on food consumption though.

The downside of the roller coaster was to say Good Bye to my baby dog, Maxx. I really know that it is going to be hard to say Goodbye, but it is harder to pass each day without his presence in the house. The home just feels so different without him.

On the high side, I got back into my favorite Gap jeans. That's part of my goal this whole time. I've worked very hard to get back into it. Oh boy, it was a good day! My Sunday ended with a special bonding time with my baby Maxx. He laid down on my lap just like he normally do before little Boomer came along.

Goal = 28 lbs.
Weight loss this week = 0.5 lbs
Total Weight Loss since 12/31/07 = 18.5 lbs

I am sorry you had to say good bye to Maxx!!! I am not looking forward to the day when my family has to say good-bye to my 13 year old baby, Tiller. I don't know what it is like for you, I can only imagine. Hang in there.

Congrats on the gap jeans. That is good news.   Keep up the great work. Don't give up.

So sorry, what a hard week.  He had a good family while he was here, you can feel good about that.

You definitely look skinny enough already.

Sorry to hear about Baby Max.  I understand as my Baby Red (11 years/Redbone Hound) has had some health challenges lately.  Right now he is doing much better as spring has sprung, but time comes for us all.

Congrats on the new jeans.  Best of luck going forward.

Keep up the good work though....There's definitely some intrinsic reward by exercising discipline in this area.  I"m the best I've been in years and it feels great.  Tonight you're my motivation to continue.  Thanks

Congratulations on the weight loss. It is a constant challenge for many of us.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It's always difficult to lose a pet because they truly do become like family members.

So sorry about your dog. Congrats on your continued weight loss. I'm on weight watchers and have lost about 18 pounds in 2 months.
