So as I write this we’re just about through with both POLITICAL CONVENTIONS...Wheeew...!!!
I’m trying to write this post from a Christian Perspective rather than through the eyes and ears of politics and Political Correctness...SO...
Setting aside all the political baloney, for which both sides displayed a fair amount, I mean to analyze the MOSAIC OF IT ALL BY STEPPING BACK and taking a deep breath...
Without a doubt, the DNC portrayed more party unity than the RNC...at least on the surface...But...
A kingdom divided will not stand...and even the Kingdom of Darkness, or as Star Wars would say, THE EVIL EMPIRE, is somewhat unified, albeit around a nefarious goal...The Republicans seemed more ORGANIZED and PATRIOTIC...and more in line with their claim to be the LAW AND ORDER PARTY...THAN the Dems lack of 'UNITED TOGETHER' evidence...!!!
Recalling a passage from The New Testament describing ‘THE WAY’ or the Religion of the then NEWLY FORMED CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST...”There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.” Gal. 3:28-29 RSV Of course, the preceding verses presume that we were Baptized into Christ and have PUT ON CHRIST...!!!
Then the passages about the WHEAT AND TARES, THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE, THE LOST GOLD COIN, and THE SORTING OUT OF THE FISH AFTER GATHERING THE NETS...ALL indicating the WORLD WE LIVE IN will contain GOOD AND BAD until the FINAL JUDGEMENT...!!!
SO...MY FELLOW CHRISTIANS AND ALL OTHERS OF GOOD WILL...Be of Good cheer, be not afraid, offer thanksgiving at all times, ask God to Bless our land, never lose Hope, seek the fertile ground, find what you seek, spread the GOOD NEWS, knock on the DOOR OF TRUTH, and vote accordingly...!!!
