Orange County, NC - Tuesday, May 6th - Vote against the Transfer Tax also known as the home tax!  It's a bad idea!  This tax is paid by the seller of a property and these are challenging economic times to say the least.  This would not be the time to pay an additional tax when we are struggling to pay for gas and rising food costs.  So get out there and vote NO!

Oh-h-h-h, now I see-e-e-e.

You're one of those "tax haters."  You probably think people "earn" their money.

Hey, the gubmint prints it.  Don't we owe it ALL to them, maybe with a little interest to boot?

It's a plan, you know.  First, run up the cost of housing, and then tax us more to subsidize housing.

Keep up the good fight, Teresa!

Good news!

That little nuisance went down in flames.

I wonder if Chapel Hill's pondering of an 11% property tax increase helped?
