Dahlia, Aitara Diadem, Kentlands, Gaithersburg, Maryland

 

I photographed this dahlia in our home garden in Kentlands, within the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Dahlias grow well in our area and I recommend them for adding some color to home gardens. This color is one of my favorites.

Lovely flower, and lovely photo.  I'm not very familiar with dahlias.  I don't think they grow in the South.

My dahlias haven't done so well this year. The yellows and the reds survived but the pinks and whites perished.
