The Springfield Missouri Real Estate market took a small decline through the month of March. Some of this may be due to the rainy, cold weather......some to the slowing of the market.

At the end of March, over 300 Real Estate agents have now left the Real Estate field since January of this year. Currently 2426 realtors remain as members of the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors, with 22 new members joining.

Thanks for the update on your market. Here in SW Florida, we have had a better first quarter than 2007. Buyers are looking for bargains and finding them. Even some mid-range homes are selling, which is a great harbinger for the future.

Jim, I've heard buyers in this area are searching and finding the bank foreclosures first. I can guarantee that there are homes that are owner-occupied priced to sell, along with the bank owned properties. I'm encouraging sellers to price homes below their competition (like I did when the market was slow in the 90's.) Thanks for commenting.
