I kick my wife out all the time.  She always wants to talk when Im watching something.  Last night I was watching The Deadliest Catch in the living room, she was there.  So I came down to the office to watch it, she followed?  I paused it and asked "Whatcha want" ?  She responded nothing, I just want to watch the baseball game. 

I yell: We have 3 TVs with satalite in this house.  Pick a TV and let me watch the crab fishing in peace!  Probelly was a bad move on my part to suggest she grab a basket of cloths and fold them on her way upstairs. 

So sorry, I have to side with your wife on this one.  She had every right to kick you to the basement.  Nextime hum a tune in your head during important TV watching!  HAHA!!
