OK, so if Magnets are such powerful marketing tools, why aren’t you sending me a magent, as opposed to an e-mail?  Matter of fact, since this e-mail in not in complaince with the Federal CAN SPAM act, why ARE you sending me this e-mail?

I have found that all of these gimmicks, to include magnetic buisness cards are a large waste of money.  Anyone who has ever showed homes for any length of time will tell you that the name of the listing agent is not the same as the fly swatter, calendar or refridgerator magnet branded with the agent.

Why put a picture of yourself on it?  NAR’s Profile of Buyer and Sellers of 2007 said that consumers interested in real estate are interested in the listing information 95% of the time and the agent info only 4% of the time.

Who wants some cheep magnet with your picture on it, holding up their kids art work to the fridge.  I just don’t get it….

But put yourself in the other guys shoes for a minute.  Should he continue to explore the boundaries of marketing (and propriety, apparently) for his product or should he just fade into the woodwork and hope that someone will discover him and buy his product?   While you are pondering this, think about how Real Estate Agents attack the market.  Some good, some bad, some terrible.  But you have to give them credit for trying.  Nobody succeeds in real estate by sitting in the office waiting for the phone to ring.  And a lot of citizens think we are just terrible people for sending them all this marketing stuff.

Have a great day....and keep trying!

I agree with Jim, at least they are trying instead of sitting around doing nothing and expecting business
