It Doesn't Pay To Do Steroids

The man made famous first for hitting home runs, partying and steroids is now the most famous victim of foreclosure.  When he played baseball he was known for a powerful physique and swing.  His excess was legendary.  Most recently, he is the man that brought the scandal of steroids to the public eye and to congress.  Roger Clemens would still be an untarnished legend if Jose had kept quiet.  Today, I read this article on the foreclosure of his 7,500 square foot home in Encino.

Canseco, 43, one of the most flamboyant U.S. baseball players until his retirement from the major leagues in 2001, told the celebrity TV show 'Inside Edition' that it did not make financial sense to keep his 7,300-square-foot home in the Los Angeles suburb of Encino. 'Inside Edition' said it had foreclosure documents showing Canseco owed a bank more than $2.5 million on the house.

The irony is that I was in Costco and saw that his new book on baseball scandal’s was just released.  Only if the lender could have waited a little longer…

Just goes to show you it isn't always how little or much someone makes, it's how much they spend!
