Would you like to have Dinner at the World’s Best Restaurant?
Well in case you do time is running short. NOMA will be closing after they serve the last meal on New Year’s Eve 2016. Keep in mind you have a lot of competition NOMA receives 100,000 or more reservation requests per month.
If you are a Foodie you know that Rene’ Redzepi is an alumnus of the ’ French Laundry’ of Thomas Keller fame. He opened NOMA in 2003 and a couple years later in 2005 his Restaurant received the coveted Michelin Rating and the rest is just incredible history.
In case you are interested and were not aware, in 2007 he made the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. Well let me clarify it, he was ranked 15th on the list. Then in 2008 he moved up the list to No. 10 and in 2010 he topped the list No One and needless to say wins three more times.
OK so I have to admit as of 2015 NOMA slipped to the Number 3 Restaurant. IF we compare it to Olympian standard it is still a good one to go to, provided you can get in.
Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca takes the No 1 spot followed by Italy’s Osteria Francescana in the #2 spot in 2015 slips to No.3. either way one great run.
I am confident he will reappear soon with a new Restaurant. I have heard investors have been offering him millions and millions of dollars to Open another Restaurant.
I was given this Cookbook by one of our friends, since she understood I would appreciate and let me tell you this is not for your everyday cooking. The techniques, equipment and skill you have to bring to the table to recreate or come close are quite challenging. As it stands it has joined the many wonderful cookbooks I have but is on the back burner to try something that is less intimidating then others. Just look at a couple of these pictures from the cookbook!
Now with that said I would be quite content to get in and have a dinner at Osteria Francescana in ItalyJ
