This Year the Perseid Meteor Shower is Said to be an "Outburst"

By
Real Estate Agent with Florida Supreme Realty SL514814

For the next few evenings and early mornings we'll be treated to the Perseid Meteor Shower thanks to debris left by the comet Swift-Tuttle. What's interesting this year is that the show should be twice as active as normal with possibly up to 200 sightings per minute. A piece of astronomical activity that put awe into the minds of humans from their dawning. You can enjoy its beginnings tonight and continuing through Friday. It might be the heavenly refresher you've been waiting for.

Keep looking UP!

We've got low & high clouds going on. Tomorrow should be a good show.

Hello Kevin

I am so sorry to say that I missed this but have had the chance to view the northern lights in Alaska several times!

My vantage point for the Aurora Borealis was the Brooks Range above the Arctic Circle. Satellite views and meteor showers are enjoyable from there too!

Hi Kevin.  I need to invent an asteroid umbrella for these periodic showers.
