Sorry to hear about the heat wave down you way.  We talked to our firiend in Woodland Hills, and I believe it is even hotter there...We are enjoying normal coastal weather...sending you some marine layer your way and ocean breezes.  A

When I lived there, I would always drive over the hill and hit the beach for a 20 degree difference!!  That's what I miss most about LA!  

Endre Barath, Jr. - we had 18 days above 90 in MA during 2013 whole season. We are already at 16 including today - and likely to have at least 3 more days of 90!

What is  the next level after 'Dog Days'?

Oh I remember that heat when my daughter lived in Beverly Hills... I do not miss that! She does, but not me... I'll keep my cool Monterey Bay breezes any day.

Hi Endre - Satchmo doesn't look like he wants to relax - he probably wants you to toss that tennis ball for him. Grover still wants to fetch even when it's really hot, but it does affect how long he'll go for.

Last night, Willie had to wait for his walk (a short one, sadly) until around 10:00 pm.  It was still hot and muggy, but at least the sidewalk had cooled to the point that it didn't burn his paws.
