Skybrook is a fantastic community at the edge of Huntersville NC (just north of Charlotte).  It straddles the Mecklenburg and Cabarrus County lines in an area that was once farm/rural and is now a sea of subdivisions.  (In fact, the original owners of the land on which Skybrook sits were third generation dairy farmers.)

Skybrook has many opportunities currently-both for resale homes and townhomes and for new construction homes and townhomes.

The townhome section of the neighborhood is built by Ryan Homes, with homes starting in the $280s (all come with a two-car garage and many 'upgraded' features are standards here).  About an eight month build time currently.

The single family sections of Skybrook are in a wide price range.  You can get into a small, craftsman style home by Saussy Burbank starting in the mid $200s, going up to the mid $400s.  The mid-range of the single family offers homes by Niblock, Ryland, and Pulte.  The top end of the neighborhood is John Wieland Homes, with product in the $500m-$700m range. (Curious about which builders are good/bad/soso?  Call me-as a buyer agent, part of my job is to make sure you know where your money is best spent.  Build times range from 6-9 months, depending on the size of the home, the builder, and whether or not the home is constructed on a basement.

Resale homes start at $409,900 currently and range up to $694,900.  Average days on market are hovering around the 60 day mark (the availability of new construction is a damper on resale excitement).

Skybrook offers a full amenity package-and the best part is that homeowner dues vary based on which activities you join.  The golf course-which will make you feel like you're playing in the mountains!)-carries a separate membership.  The swim and tennis club also carries a separate membership.  The facilities are country-club class, and a great way to get to know your neighbors!
