Margaret and Fred Fago will show their nautical-themed photography and paintings on Friday, August 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts Satellite Gallery at Eyewise Optometry at 2651 Blanding Avenue, Suite B.  The show is free to the public.  Please call 510-432-6505 for more information.

The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, August 20 and Tuesday, August 23  mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.  All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices.  So good!  Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers.  The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open rain or shine.

Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, August 20, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco.

Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour features “Compass Connection.”  Learn about compasses and how to use them and then find out what’s new at the cove on Saturday, August 20, at 2:00 pm.  Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.

Rhythmix Cultural Works presents “Wine, Women and Song” on Saturday, August 20 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.  This is the third annual benefit for youth arts programs in the East Bay featuring woman musicians, wine tasting and a silent auction at 2513 Blanding Avenue in Alameda..  Tickets are $55 to $125.  Please call 510-865-5060 for more information.
