Mortgage rates are unchanged this morning. Mortgage rates moved lower 0.18 point Monday. This was enough to increase mortgage rates or fees. The market experienced moderate to low volatility yesterday.
- 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 3.43 percent with an average 0.5 point for the week ending August 18, 2016, down from last week when it averaged 3.45 percent. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.93 percent.

The Louisiana State Police had received numerous reports of illegal cock fighting being held in the area around Abbeville and had sent their famous Detective Boudreaux from Thibodaux to investigate.
Boudreaux promptly began his investigation and then reported to his Commander the next morning.

Boudreaux nodded knowingly, "Well, I knowed de Cajuns was involved when sumbody bet on de duck!"
"Ah, I see, I see..." sighed the sergeant, "And how did you figure the DNC was involved?"
