I think everyone knows from my weekly 45 second commercials that I am looking for referrals to your friends, family and associates that are having life changing events this Spring. Liz and I are committed to working with our clients before, during and after the transaction.

HOWEVER, I AM A REALTOR AND LOVE TO HELP PEOPLE WITH REAL ESTATE RELATED ISSUES. IF REAL ESTATE IS INVOLVED AND IT IS IN THE UNITED STATES CALL ME! THAT MEANS ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

· Are interested in the Real Estate Profession

· Are having a life changing event. (see what to listen for bellow)

I can help these people help their clients

· Attorneys

· Investors

· Mortgage Brokers

· Lenders/Banks

· Corporate Relocation Officers

What to listen for..

Conversation Starters

· I would like to sell my home in the next X years/months.

· I am having a problem selling my house

· I would like to know what my house is worth

· I would like to own a home but I don’t know where to start

· I can not seem to find a good Realtor

· My Brother/Sister/Mother/Friend is getting married

· My Sister is getting divorced

· My friend had a new baby

· My Mother got a new promotion

· My brother-in-law’s Mother/Father died….

· My friend’s Mother/Father is retiring…

· Would you like to speak to a Realtor about Buying/Selling your home?

· Do you have a relationship with a Realtor?

· Have you considered selling/Buying a home?

First the easy one, If you have someone that is looking to buy or sell real estate then by all means give me a call with their name and number I will be happy to follow up with them.

Second the hard one, If they are not currently looking to buy or sell immediately but you know they have had a life changing event try to make the introduction by inviting them to one of my events or an event where you know I will be attending. I can then meet them and build a relationship before they need my services. Here is a list of the upcoming events the you can involve your family and friends in:

  • Drive In - MAY - To be Announced
  • Real Estate Training for new Agents – May 9-10th in Northampton

Third, I am looking to grow my referral network and I need your help to do it. Please take a couple of minutes this week to contact the person who you wrote down on the slip of paper.

Remember “You asked yourself, “Out of all of my family, friends and contacts is most likely to buy or sell property next?”

Make some time to talk to them and ask them, “If you were looking to buy or sell a home or you had a friend or family member who was, Do you have a Realtor you would refer them to?”

a. If they say "yes" then congratulate them on having a great Realtor.

b. If they say “no” or they do not really know the realtor then tell them you have a realtor that they should meet. Ask them if they would like to receive free items of value and a newsletter and call me with their contact info. Let them know that I want the opportunity to serve them before, during and after any transactions.
