I've been uploading some of the wonderful press Showhomes has received onto YouTube. Like real estate tours, Youtube allows for embedding in blog posts and on HTML marketing. This is great for email marketing and Active Rain!

This is an NBC story about Showhomes that showcases some really wonderful million dollar condos we did in Denver that sold quickly.

Happy Home Staging!

How Brilliant. Congrats! Nashville is about an hour from Crossville. I'll have to give you a call when I talk a seller into trying home staging! Thanks.

I've heard of this Thomas, and it may be done other places.  It's a good idea, but not really good for home stagers.  lol

Diane, actually, using Home Managers (or Home Tenders as they were once called) was the original form of whole house staging. Its been going strong ever since the 1970s and we've been doing it since the early 1980s. Think of it as staging on steroids :)

We have a large group of stagers who buy, own and operate franchises because the money is much better than regualr staging and the niche has little to no competition but requires systems to operate well.

We do find that our customers don't overlap too much with regular stagings. Our average home price is much higher (we start at $500k and avg at 1 mill) and  because we offer pay at close fees, we get clients that can afford a normal staging but are willing to float until close.

Thanks,

Thomas

do you have to actually live in the home or can you just stage it? kh

That was a very nice video. Thanks for sharing. Homes that are staged sell quick because it can give buyers an ideal how to set up certain things in a house. Great post.

Kate,

We do both types of staging

Staging is universal word that means different things to different people. Our definition since the 1980s for staging is "providing or rearranging furniture inside a home for sale so that it sells faster and for a higher price."

On larger and more expensive homes, staging with a Home Manager is often a more effective tool to use. Staging with furniture works better in a different niche of the market.

Staging owner occupied homes works, too and a lot of stagers focus on that niche...

Hope this helps,

Thanks Thomas.  Interesting.  How would I start a franchise or buy, own and operate one?  Did you start your own with a bunch of home stagers in your area?

Diane, I sent you and email and would be happy to talk on the phone - 615-483-4923

We started in the mid 1980s, long before there were many stagers! I owned a franchise in our system and in 2004 we purchased the franchise company and began aggressively building a national footprint. Its been exciting for us and profitable for our franchise owners to be part of our team.
