As a Realtor, I receive MANY marketing calls - sometimes SEVERAL throughout the course of a day...
I am never rude. I tell EACH one the same thing..."Send me the information in an email and I WILL read it and consider it...
And then I follow by asking, "Do you need my email address...??"
I think I've made their job fairly simple. I'm willing to provide a means of communication that works best for me - and I've assured them that if they're willing to email me, I WILL read it...
My experience is that less than 1% are willing to go the extra mile to send me an email...
WHY...??
If I had to peel back the layers - we can blame it on being lazy, or unwilling, or lack of care, but I tend to think it is due to
* NOT hearing what's BEST for the potential client *
When I meet a new client, one of my initial questions is: What is YOUR preferred method of communication - Phone? Email? Text?
When trying to EARN business, we must be willing to step beyond and do what's BEST for THE POTENTIAL CLIENT...
After all, my phone is ringing again - perhaps it's another marketer wanting my business and perhaps this one will be willing to do what's necessary to Earn it...
