For coffee lovers, there's nothing quite like that first cup of coffee in the morning, whether it's a Monday morning start-the-week cup, or a weekend sit-back-and-relax cup.
When it is a freshly brewed cup of Martha & Brothers coffee, it is especially delicious!
Martha & Bros Coffee Company has been roasting, serving and selling coffee here in San Francisco since 1987, a skill learned in the family's native Nicaragua coffee farm.
I learned about Martha & Bros Coffee Company from a chance encounter with an artist I chatted with one morning as I returned from an exercise class. He mentioned that two of his murals (depicting the owners' native country) were on the walls at the original Martha & Bros. on 24th Street in Noe Valley.

That fueled my desire to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! I've been drinking and enjoying the same French Roast coffee blend for 20+ years, but Martha & Bros. surpasses it by a lot.
Best news for many of you: you can order their coffees online if you're not fortunate enough to live in San Francisco (or if you don't live close to one of their stores.)
Give yourself a treat, or give a coffee-loving friend a gift. If you are like me, you'll find Martha & Bros. coffee starts the day off right.
