Is it better to drive or fly?  Is it better to drive if there's one person, or only if there's a group of people driving?  How well do you understand carbon emissions of the different forms of transportation?

Without taking the quiz i would suggest that flying emits far more carbon emissions than driving because the plane burns fuel to generate lift, enough to lift a multi toned vehicle of the ground and propel it at hundreds of miles per hour through the air. Cars probably commit more overall pollution since there is much more of them. As far as breaking it down to carbon emissions per passenger i would need a little more info to figure out. Either way planes are not always full and often waste fuel and space.

Very interesting but I still like the freedom of my car, no matter how far the drive. I will pass this site around to ones that use the transportation though.

Jonelle, I did way better on this quiz than I thought I would---still not sure I agree with the whole notion of carbon offsets:)  Seems like a cop-out for just plain refusing to do the "right thing"
