With spring in full bloom many places around the country, and on it's way in others, this is a timely reminder! 'Tis the time for fresh, locally grown, organic produce!  Many communities have Farmer's Markets, which are a GREAT summer resource for organic an all natural produce!  Here in Park City, or local PARK CITY FARMER'S MARKET will start in June, and run through October!  It's located at the Canyons resort, in their lower parking lot!   If  you have never been, it's a great thing to check out this year!

You can also now buy organically-grown foods at many grocery stores!  Most now have organic sections where you can purchase all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and cereals that have had no chemical fertilizer, pesticides, or herbicides. Show the stores you care by buying these things! They'll be better for you and for the earth because no chemicals are going into the soil or water.

Organic foods are delicious, and a note to the previous comment. The earth will eventual shake us off like a bad case of fleas, it will be here long after we are gone. It is important to note though, that the better care we take of it the longer we will be around and the higher quality of life we will have.

You really don't think 6 billion of us have an impact....come on, oh and by the way global warming is not a myth.

Jonelle - let me plus your suggestion to save the earth by eating organic foods.  How about reducing our meat consumption.  So much land is used for pasture and producing food for livestock!  How about use that land to product food for human consumption.  Oh yeah - and methane from cows is a HUGE pollutant.

Sorry, but the day I don't eat meat will be the day they pry my BBQ grill away from me...kicking and screaming.

Back in the 70s we use the old saying...Save a tree, eat a Beaver...?

I have been slowly starting to buy organic food.  Trying to be healthier. I am starting an intense 6 week workout program so we will see how that goes.

Im a farmer's market junkie!  Only problem is, I live in NW Montana...so, I can only get fresh stuff a couple months out of the year.  Otherwise, I have to shop at really expensive grocery stores.  UGH!
