CENTRAL FLORIDA ~ IS THIS A FLORIDA PANTHER PRINT?

Not to long ago, we were walking the dog one night before going to bed and it had rained a few hours earlier really hard that so on the sidewalk sand had washed onto it...... and the dog kept pulling and sniffing and then she stopped and we looked down where she had stopped and we saw this

huge paw print. I ran back to the house and got the camera and the flash light

and we layed a quarter down beside the print and to the upper right corner you can see our dog's foot print. She weighs about 40lbs.

Now I am not certain but I really think this could be a Panther print. Its way too big for a bobcat.

We live between Orlando and Ocala and I have heard rumors of a panther running around the Sugarloaf Mountain area which is north of Clermont but had never seen one before.

You tell me...what do you think?

if it is a print, which is hard to see in the picture it is several hours old and was made by a larger animal. The circle shape of the indentation suggests a large feline. I would say that may very well be a panther print

Thanks for your response Blake. The print is actually to the upper right of the quarter we laid next to the print to give a better idea as to the size. Our 40-50 lb dog's print is actually to the right of what we believe to be the panther print.

This photo was taken around February of this year and we are located in Central Lake County, Fl.
