Some of you may remember my recent blog concerning a launch from the Cape this Labor Day Weekend. Well those plans came to an abrupt end when shortly after 9:00am this morning, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket which was to carry a 200+ million dollar satellite into space blew up on the launch pad at Canaveral Air Station. Billowing black smoke could be seen from miles away. We still don't have all the details on the failure, but I suppose, space travel is a tricky business. Thankfully no one was injured or killed.
