Elizabeth Bebe was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania back in 1950. She graduated from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburg and an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
Her interest was in mental health which was the catalyst for her first children’s book. It was published in 2001. She was a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and founding member of NAMI-Inglewood. She wrote several other books over her career, all three were New York Times bestsellers BTW you may know her better as Elizabeth Bebe Moore or Bebe Moore Campbell. The names of those best sellers were Brothers and Sisters, Singing in the Comeback and What You Owe Me. Among her other works inn include Sweet Summer, Growing Up With and Without My Dad. Her first nonfiction book, Successful Women, Angry Men.
She died in 2006 from brain cancer, she is interred at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
