Home Depot a step closer to becoming a reality in Silverthorne Colorado

Living in a Mountain resort community like Silverthorne Colorado we have to live with certain things. We pay a premium for certain items, we live with tourists, and we have a limited home improvment supply. We'll that may not be the case any more.

Despite this weeks anouncement by Home depot that they are shutting dow 15 underperforming stores, and cutting back on expansion plans this year they are moving forward with their plans to build a store next to the Blue River in silverthorne.

Sighting the robust western slope economy in Colorado they have formaly completed their application with the town and have plans to build a 100,000 square foot location. For silverthorne and all of Summit County this will be a much welcomed addition.

Great! We actually just had a Home Depot open up around the corner from us. I don't know what I would do without it!

Jason and Deanna, Living in a smaller population area has it challenges, my marketplace is also very small and has a strong 2nd home market with tourist too, they come for the organic farming and clean environment of Southwestern Wisconsin.  Thanks for post on my blog!
