Think about this next time you stop to buy  a cool beverage...

This was sent to me by a friend. Thought I would pass on for your review.  It certainly will make you think next time you pump gas. The price may vary in different parts of the country. Some products also include tax. I didn't check the math on all but the ones I did check it was correct. Remember, 128 oz. to the gallon. Ceil buys a gallon of grape jucie every week and I just looked on the bottle.

  • The price of Gas versus Printer Ink

All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are.... You will be really shocked by the last one (at least I was)

    Compared with Gasoline......

Think a gallon of gas is expensive? This makes one think and also puts things in perspective.

    1.Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

    2.Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon

    3.Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

    4.Ocean Spray Beverage Drink 16 oz $1.25 .......... $10.00 per gallon

    5.Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ...... $33.60 per gallon

    6.Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ... $178.13 per gallon

    7.Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

    8.Whiteout  Correction (small bottle) 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

    9.Scope 1.5 oz  $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

10.Evian water 9 oz $1.49.. $21.19 per gallon! ( $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source)

(Evian spelled backwards is Naïve)

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?
So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at...............
(you won't believe it....but it is true........)
$5,200 a gal. (approx. $5,200)

So, next time you're at the pump ,be glad your car doesn't run on Water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Gatorade, Ocean Spray, Nyquil  Printer Ink!

Just a little information to help ( ease the pain )  your next trip to the pump to fuel your auto or truck

Carl, ok, I filled up my car today at $3.479 gallon.  Looking up at the list, I guess that's pretty inexpensive!  I'll use up a bunch of it tomorrow, showing properties.

Judi - Have to find an alternative before long. People are putting all their money in the gas tank. We went to buy groceries today in N.B. and everyone was complaining about the price of food. Everything keeps going up, up, up.

I hope your day tomorrow is productive and they aren't tire kickers.

Carl, of course groceries will go up in price.  With diesel at $4+ a gallon, the trucking companies have to charge more to deliver groceries, clothing, household goods, etc. . . the fuel cost increase is going to affect everything.  Most everything we purchase is delivered by those big 18-wheelers!!!
