Hello everyone. This is my first post and I do not really know what I am doing. I have been a member of ActiveRain for a couple of days and I have already learned a great deal. There is so much wonderful information that it is hard to digest all of it. I have been on the computer reading through posts and blogs for most of the day and all evening and I think I have barely scratched the surface. Hopefully I will get the hang of this and I truely believe I will be learning something everytime I logon to this site.

Welcome to the network!  Other than a source of networking and getting your name even more out there, AR is great as a source of vital information and experiences throughout the industry.  Best of luck!

Welcome to active rain.  We are also fairly new.  I would suggest joining some groups.  They are a great place to share with others who have the same interests as you...

Hello Lisa!  Pace yourself... it's easy to get sucked in, and let eveything else fall by the wayside!  Don't hesitate to hold your hand up high when you need help- people are great at helping out us new ones.

Best wishes,

Hi Lisa,

Like you I posted my first time today, WOW it was really inspiring.  I was not really sure how to go about it all when someone left me a comment directing me to the "newbie" group.  So here I am, wanting to get involved and build my business.  I feel that AR has a lot of helpful information that none of us has really began to tap into. Congatulations to you.  I look forward to reading more of your postings.

Thank you to everyone for your comments and for the great welcome to AR. This is a wonderful place to find information and boy is there alot to find. I am finding that once I get online it is difficult to stop reading what others are posting since there is so much that I am interested in and that will help with building my business. Anyway, thanks again.

Welcome Lisa!

You will find there is a wealth of info to be had here at A/R. I also belong to Agentsonline.net. Both sites are great for us newbies. I started in Real Estate 2 years ago March 31st. I've been Full Time since the day I became an Agent. The first 2 (Tax Years) were spent working 50-60 hrs weekly plus trying to soak in as much knowledge as possible. I sold 2 homes the first 2 Tax years and made a whole $5600, after spending somewhere around $15,000 in leads marketing dues fees etc. I was really discouraged because to me it didn't make sense that if I worked that hard, I wouldn't be successful? I am only just beginning to see some success in the last few weeks. I now have 5 listings, a sale and another possible sale. So hard work does pay off just takes its good ol' time! Welcome aboard and Happy Listings to you!

HI Lisa,

25 replies (and counting!).  If that's not a warm welcome, I don't know what is. I signed on in November, got caught up with things and just got back on and am loving it!  And yes, it is addictive and fun and funny and informative.

It's a wonderful place to go to all learn from each other.  I have a different perspective on things and am wondering whether to add a group....would it be "build it, and they will come?"  There are NO Feng Shui consultants on here (yet).  And we work with Realtors, do home staging, curb appeal and redesign--all from a different perspective.

So post away, Lisa!  I look forward to hearing about your experiences.

Thank you all for your warm welcome and comments. Since I have been on ActiveRain I have discovered the warm support from so many individuals that I am overwhelmed. I am so new to real estate that I have been very timid about sharing what I am learning with others. Once I began to read through the posts that others have made, and received so much encouragement from everyone that I have encountered I am beginning to become more confident in my abilities. I am still much more comfortable reading than posting as I am learning so much from the posts that are already here. Anway, thanks again for being such a great support and resource.

Lisa,

Welcome to ActiveRain!  I, too, am (relatively) a newbie to this community.  Maybe now I will try my luck posting a blog.  Who knows, it might get read!  LOL :-)

Keep it up.  And Keep in touch.

Melissa:  Thank you for the welcome. This is a wonderful place to "hang out". I find that I am logging into AR every chance I get. And each time I find that I like it even more.

Paz: I have been lurking and reading everything that I can click on. But I did go ahead a post a few time. It was really pretty easy and I enjoyed doing it. I really like reading the posts as they give me so much information and insight. Thanks for the welcome.
