Happy Labor Day from Homer Alaska
Hello everyone ... Vegas Bob and family just want to wish everyone a wonderful Labor Day!
I have been traveling all through Alaska now for the last 2 years from Homer, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Hope, Wasilla, Palmer, Seward, Kenai, Girdwood and other towns and one of my favorite places in Alaska is HOMER because it's at the end of the road. Once you get to the end of Homer Spit there is really no further you can drive except about 5 miles across the ridge over looking Homer where this photo (above) was taken and then it turns to dirt roads and ends.
Homer is approx 4-5 hours south of Anchorage and really the only people that go there are people are tourists fishing, sight seeing and the locals that live there. After September only 5% of the people that are tourists, all the rest are locals so it's nice and quiet ;o)
So it's not surprising that Robert Vegas Bob Swetz purchased 2 vacant acres of land in a beautiful development with pine trees and a distant views overlooking the Kenai Peninsula and the Turnagain Arm with snow-cap mountains in the horizon.
The person Vegas Bob purchased the property from was no other than his long time friend and associate Debra Leisek? Vegas Bob first met Debra at the ActiveRain network 8 years ago when he use to look at her posts filled with information about Homer Alaska with (photographs attached).
Well finally in 2015 Vegas Bob purchased property from Debra and she is such a wonderful down to earth person, my wife Lin and myself adore Debra.
So if your ever thinking about purchasing a 2nd home, condo or vacant land in Alaska search Homer first with Debra Leisek and tell her Vegas Bob sent you aka Alaska Bob ;o)
