Spring has sprung and everything is turning green again! Yahoo!

Between the pastures, trees, and wildflowers, the Ozarks are looking good again.  We are a foot ahead of normal for rainfall this year already and the rainy time of year is just arriving.  We have made the news a lot lately with the flood gates being opened on Table Rock Lake Dam for the first time in 50 years and the James River reaching record flood levels around Galena, it sure has been exciting around here.  All this extra rain has made things grow and bloom like crazy so we are seeing scenes of beauty like never before.  The signs of spring are inspirations of hope and future growth.  We are planting a garden, new trees and flowers, and mowing the grass like never before.  What a wonderful time of year, I love it!

This is a great time of year. We are just coming into bloom here in Traverse City Michigan. We started off with a very dry spring. We have rain the past week or so and the grass and trees are really starting to bud.

Hi Steve! I love this time of year in the Ozarks! It is so unbelievably beautiful...

Yeah, we are having to mow a lot more this year, with all the rains, but the yard looks much better than it has in a few years. I am working on getting the garden in, but the weeds are doing very well, too. I am excited about the prospects for a great fruit crop this year, as I have lots of baby apples developing and my plum trees are loaded. If the weather stays good, I may be begging people to come and get apples this september!

My husband is looking forward to the waters on lake Norfork and BUll Shoals receding a bit so he can fish. His favorite areas are all underwater right now. But that's okay with me- we're too busy mowing and gardening for me to let him take the time off!

Enjoy the Springtime , everyone!

I know you are glad for the rain Michael, we sure have had more than out share.  Like your husband, Amber, I have been too busy mowing and planting to get out but a couple hours yesterday, but the water is so high I couldn't find anywhere to catch any either, oh well, fishing is like that, thank God we have more water than we need instead of less, like so many other areas around the country.
