Fuel for a Productive Day, Enjoy a Breakfast of Champions!
A few weeks ago I was watching a video of Brian Tracy where he was talking about his morning routine for high productivity and was impressed at some of the similarities that we have.
Namely, eating a good breakfast, which does make a difference!!!
When I go to various meetings I am always disappointed to see that part of my registration fee is wasted on breads and pastries. I learned years ago that these things make me want to take a nap, so I avoid them and just stick to my coffee and orange juice and let the rest of the crowd eat these tasty sleeping pills.
My friends thought that I was full of it with my theory on pastries in the morning until a few years ago when I was speaking with a psychologist about being productive despite my adhd, and he mentioned how important it was to avoid white breads as they have a tendency to block the neurons in the frontal cortex, basically making us lethargic. He recommended doing what I had been doing, loading up on protein in the morning.
I had learned when I was young that if I really needed to perform, the best thing that I could do was force down a few eggs (when I was young I strongly disliked these things), and soon I was looking for ways to make them more palatable.
I will explore some of my methods of making the bland yet high energy egg a gourmet delight in a few more blogs this month.
