How often does your Realtor become your official wedding photographer?  I did it!  If that's not service, I don't know what is...

A couple of years ago a client of mine who liked my photographic style, asked me to take pictures of his wedding on a yacht going down the Ashley river and the Atlantic Ocean in the Charleston Area.  He didn't want a professional taking the pictures, because it was going to be a very intimate atmosphere, he said.  He wanted candid shots, nothing rehearsed

This was a very special treat.  Springtime in Charleston is delightful.  Warm breezes embraced everything that lazy Saturday afternoon.  The boat was just the right size for that intimate gathering.   It was loving and genuine.  It had all the lovely elements:  good friends, family and beautiful kids.

The mother of the groom married the couple.  His daughter gave him away.  Her son gave her away.   Everyone was barefoot and wearing white, even the photographer (me).

It was a magical event, full of love and grace.  Beautiful surroundings, pleasant memories that will last forever.  Enjoy!

The picture of the the groom's daughter is the best picture I've ever taken, I think.  It says so much!  Let me know how you like it!

Yes, I agree...Love it.  The Sepia tone is wonderful. I am getting our family portraits done soon and I've opted for a carefree in the park setting and I like the white matching...very nice photos indeed. Thanks for sharing!

Nice work, Mirela! Interesting as I am booked for a wedding in August. First time I've done a wedding as the official photog. Later in August, I'm being hired as a DJ for a recfeption. Full service brokerage!

You have a great eye for emotion in your pictures.

Thank you, Liz!  I can send it to you if you wish, or you can copy it here.  I would like to enter it in a competition.  The picture is my most favorite also.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had a winner.  The emotion on her face, her focus, and her father's loving, protective hand draped upon her right shoulder.  What a great shot.  Pure luck!

It was such a loving occasion and so easy to photograph.  They are such down to earth, yet extraordinary people and they have such strong family bonds.   They are beautiful people inside and out!  I felt very honored to be there capturing their moments...

...The food was good too (that's me munching down some excellent morsels; yes, the photographer got captured on film).

Do you want me to e-mail it to you, or just copy it from here?  I love taking pictures of kids; there's never a dull moment and they always look beautiful.  You know what they say:  "Kids have the faces God gave them, and old folks have the faces they deserve...."

Mirela, you are right, what a beautiful photo of the grooms daughter.  I just visited Charleston with my son in late August.  My parents live in Surfside, and I will most likely be relocating once he is finished high school.  I am on the five year plan!  Have a wonderful holiday season.

Julie:  You will love it here!  I was jogging on the beach this morning and I was thinking to myself: "How lucky am I to be able to enjoy this amazing beauty?"  The water was so blue, the sun so bright and the sand was fresh with wonderful sea shells.  The serenity here and the easy going pace is hard to imagine.  I don't think I could ever live in the big city after this.  When I go visit family in California, I can't wait to come back and I love California, so you can imagine just how precious this place is!
