The Town of Cornelius held a dedication ceremony on September 11th to Debut the new 'Cornelius’ Never Forget | 9/11 Monument'.

The monument includes a large section of steel from the World Trade Center and is located in front of the Cornelius Fire Station #1 to honor the first responders and citizens who were affected by the events on September 11, 2001.
