Sunday, A Restful Oasis in a Hectic Brushy World.Island of rest, atv

I like this picture, after fighting through miles and miles of brush we find ourselves in a nice little island of open air and sunshine.

A great place to park and rest a moment as we get ready to head back into the forest to get our work done.

Kind of like a Sunday, after a frenzied week of rushing and working far too many hours without rest, now we arrive at a day that God has mandated that we take a break.

I hope that we all found some time today to take that little rest, rejuvenate a bit, before we getting ready to hit it hard for another week of fighting through the brush of our over busy lives.

And don’t forget to take a few minutes today to thank God for making this seventh day of rest just for us…

Thanks for posting this to remind all of us to take a breath and appreciate our surroundings that we are so blessed to enjoy.  We went to New York this weekend to babysit our grandson so his parents could go to a wedding.  They rented a house in Rhinebeck for the two days so that we could all be together during the day and Hamilton could have a quiet room to sleep. It made for a very nice trip with lots of room for everyone to spread out.  I deliberately did not turn on my computer for work - checked some emails on my ipad but didn't check into AR or do any substantive work. It was a nice vacation surrounded by people I love. I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for starting my day off with such nice thoughts.

That's a neat looking place, Bob!  I'm wondering though, did you have trouble seeing the forest, for the trees?

I rested quite a bit this past Sunday. We sat on the loveseat and watched football for most of the day!
