I have been on AR a week now-Gosh the time has just flown by! When did I have time to do any business this week? This is so addictive! Since I have to start my day at 5:30am each morning due to family obligations, I find that I can be productive building my business through the "blogosphere" for the first 2 hours of my day. Then I can go out and market myself in the community.

I have actually written several posts-of which 3 have been featured-OK I don't want to open the "Featured" can of worms so I am just stating fact. I don't know why, I wasn't trying-I just opened up and it all rolled out onto the page.

From my posts you will see that I am big on training and education, as well as learning from bad situations I have been in training positions most of my life-so it comes easy-and I love to watch as others grow along with me.

Listed below are some of my favorite posts of the week-some because they have been helpful in learning this site, some for helping to build my business and some that are motivating to help me get off the Butt and get some work done.

Revisiting Barbrshop Marketing with Brian Brady

Instructions, Getting started on AR with Mario Levesque

Cliff or Trampoline with Brande Bradford

Buy a Brand New House with Don Rich

Relationship building is such a big part of this business. Although online relationships seem very plastic and one sided many times. I think it is a start. I have had phone conversation with three people on the list below, so the relationship grows beyond the Blog. Are any of your favorites here?

I am always open and looking for creative ideas to market myself as my business and it seems I always run across post from Brande Bradford . She seems to add another outstanding marketing idea every day or two.

Of course when looking for "what to do if" scenarios. I look for Lenn Harley or as she states in one of her posts  "Lenn 'What does the contract say' Harley"

Just for great information, training and interesting posts you cannot miss Colleen Kulikowski is the best.

Robert McArtor has been a great help both on the phone and in his posts.

AR is the best! and I truly can see my business growing because of the relationship building here!

Hi Stephen. I agree this site is waaaaay addicting. But that's OK because there really is a terrific amount of good info to be found here. It will definitely increase your business just from the motivation and the new ideas you can implement. Keep reading and writing.

It's always interesting to see what other Rainers are reading. Thanks for sharing.

Stephen,

Thanks for the mention :-)

I try real hard, but this blogging thing is really new to me, and quite frankly, I am just not a great writer.  So, I just simply put my thoughts down and blog away.

I agree with you that there are some terrific bloggers on AR.  It seems that when I am starting to question something, mysteriously a blog will show up about it.  One of the things that I really like is that given one situation, there can be so many different opinions on how to handle it.

Active Rain is a true addiction, but I figure I could have a lot worse ones :-)

It was a pleasure speaking with you the other day. I am looking forward to sitting across the table from you soon. Although I ruffled feathers with Lenn Harley (fault of my own) I admire her posts and common sense approach. Hopefully water can pour over the bridge and we can start over. As far as Colleen is concerned, she is a wealth of information, I use TP7i and have learned a few things just reading her posts.

Have a Great and Profitable Day!

Stephen,

AR is very addicting and I have found myself slipping right back into the "old habit" lately.  Pace yourself because (as I've learned) this my friend is a marathon.  Enjoy the company of all your new friends here on AR.

Hi Stephen - I was just surfing the back pages of the group and found your post.  It looks as if you have been a little busy since this post.  I think a newbie post should receive more then four comments so I am bringing this post back to life for you.  I am new to AR.  I wasn't a member back win you joined, so I guess you could say that this is also my way of introducing myself to you.  Thanks, Welcome, I look forward to networking with you.  Have A Great Day.
