The Colorado Grand Tour is a road show of early sports and race cars. All of these cars are pre 1960 models. This afternoon the group toured through the Northfork area and then made it's way over to Cedaredge.
A portion of Main Street was blocked off so everyone could view the vintage cars. This is a neat car show where you get to see these vehicles in action.
I don't really know what I'm looking at when it comes to antique cars, but I still enjoyed watching them. These vehicles are restored and detailed very well, and they had powerful sounding engines. I was tempted to grab a spare helmet and jumped in one of the convertibles as it headed down the street.
The Main Street businesses had specials available for the drivers.
The Colorado Grand is an annual charity event. It was started in 1989 by Bob Sutherland of Englewood, CO. Each year at least 85 cars tour 1,000 miles of Colorado's roads during the fall season.
This was a fun afternoon on Main Street. I hope the Colorado Grand Tour decides to stop in Cedaredge again next year.
I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 26 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. As a REALTOR®, I also love to share my expertise in this area as well. If you need any real estate information for Montrose County, or Delta County, Colorado...please give me a call.
