Why Don't I "Get It" ?

Over the last 10 or so years there seems to be a real preoccupation with death and death symbols, I don't get it. Of course I remember some of the outlandish things Alice Cooper did 45 years ago and I thought it was cool but I was a teen then and most adults recognized that AC was in it for the shock value and the money but that his message was appalling.

When I saw this van yesterday it wasn't anything I had not seen before but I just wondered... are these really adults? Maybe when Alice Cooper sang "Dead Babies" in 1971 some immature folks thought it was cool but adults???

Today I think, "How insensitive" to those who have lost children. I'd like to tell the driver of this van GROW UP, you are NOT cool, just an insensitive clod!

Good Wednesday morning.  I don't get it either.  An adult woman sat in front of us last weekend at Church with a death shirt on.  Skulls, bones, etc.  I just shook my head at her Church attire.

I don't focus on things like that ... no judgment here in that regard. I cannot get inside anyone's head and figure out where they are coming from.

I just think it's highly insensitive Kathleen Daniels to those who may have lost a child. I don't see anything "cute" about a pink, childs skull and cross bones desplayed as if it's something really cool.

Well, I'm not sharing a picture of my skull necklace with you, then, Bob. Honestly, I don't get the fascination either but it's been around for a long time. The baby skull thing is creepy.
