It is another exquisite Lowcountry morning here in beautiful Beaufort by the sea. In the midst of all things bizarre in our world, there is peace in my little paradise.
I am so fortunate to wake to such a content display of mother nature. I pause (which is a rare thing) to thank God for sending me a reminder of what is important.
Fumbling with my coffee, my best friends leash, and my cell phone, I walk to my back yard.
Eyes focused on the task at hand, I almost missed the most amazing sight.
Captain Jack (my best friend and four legged wonder) sat still as could be, another rare thing. I tugged at his leash and he would have none of it!
I look less than 10 yards in front of me, and there they stood. Momma, Daddy, and three baby Canadian Geese.
As a Mississippi girl, I am quite familiar with babies of the wild, or so I thought. Never before had I had the opportunity to watch a family of geese play before my very eyes.
I quickly tossed my cell phone (something I may regret soon:) back towards my porch chairs in fear of disturbing this wonder.
Captain, as excited and in awe as I, sat without a sound. Thanks Captain.
The Mom and Dad walked on either side of the little ones watching carefully every step. The littles ones heads bobbled and their feet looked like tiny tooth picks.

I am so thankful for the images in my head.
