Summer Fun With Floral Photography

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with The Inner Iris Photography

Spring is a great time for the photography of flowers, yet summer holds some true gems for the lens.

I enjoy using a micro lens to get right on top of any number of small flowers with many hidden beauty's that a close up lens such as the micro will bring out in their full splendor.

And it is time again to bring out the camera into the garden once more now that Moss rose, Hibiscus, and many other fantastic flowers are in bloom.

Here are a few to share with you and please share with us a few of yours!

These are absolutely beautiful.  I will be out tomorrow looking for some great shots to add here.  Most of our flowers aren't out yet, but the daffodills are.

Shellee,

These would look beautiful blow up and framed. The perfect look for staging a bedroom or bath.

I did find the micro lens on my computer, but Ihaven't tried it out yet. How does the one that looks like a mountain work. How does it differ from just taking the shot with the regular lens?

Julie- the most noteable thing about a Micro lense and why it is used a lot in close up photography is due to its shallow or little depth of field. This means that its focus range is closer rather than further and the subject in the foreground of your picture will mostly be in sharper focus than that in the background. You can use it in many ways of corse but I would not reccomend it for landscapes, far shots, non-artistic portraits, or other general field photography uses where you want a more flat and generally focused shot with a lot of depth of field.

Lee- some great shots! Thanks for sharing. And thanks to Marchel and Patrice for your nice comments.
