The Farm to Fork Legends of Wine in Sacramento

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

This is the 4th year of the Farm-to-Fork Legends of Wine in Sacramento, and it is not an event I have attended in the past, so I sought to rectify that oversight by buying tickets to yesterday's event. Past events were priced at $50 and this year it was $65, but the organizers could have charged $100 a ticket and the crowds would still be enormous.

Despite all of the people, the traffic flowed very smoothly, and the only really superduper long line was for the sausages. You can read more and see all the photographs in my personal blog today at this link: Legends of Wine at State Capitol in Sacramento.

Liz, how wonderful! I had to laugh, farm to fork... we have farm to plate here. But of course we don't have a wine tasting even attached to it. You all know how to do things up in a big way there!!!!

Andrea Swiedler Well, farm to plate should still involve some sort of adult beverage, no?

Sounds like a great local event.  You can never go wrong with food and wine.

Chris Ann Cleland Or just wine and forget the food, LOL. They featured a superb blue cheese with rich blue salty veins that I adored.

Good morning, Elizabeth --- I have heard that you don't want to see how sausages are made or a bill is passed in legislature so it's nice to see that at least there's some fun being had at the state Capitol.

My mother said sausages are made from scraps and guts and whatever they sweep up on the floor, Michael Jacobs -- is that true?

I'm glad you went and captured some good pictures, Elizabeth.  I appears like a quality event!

Myrl Jeffcoat It was definitely an interesting time. Some drunk guy was trying to buy a bottle of wine and could not for the life of himself figure out that retail sales were not allowed at this event.
