Even though I live in South Florida and it will seem like summer for several more months the Autumn Equinox which occurs on September 22 will be a game changer. Yes, a mental adjustment for me occurs and I don't really like it.
You see, summertime equals freedom to me. That freedom that is learned as a kid when the last day of school bell rings. No responsibilities, carefree days at the beach, all that good fun stuff. Once autumn came around it all ended.
As an adult my summers are pretty much spent as if I was still a kid. Carefree days at the beach and a very limited work load. Once that autumn bell tolls it will trigger the adult in me and my carefree days at the beach are over, back to work I go. I miss summer already.
