(FOR A LIST OF THE KNOWN BUGS THAT WE ARE WORKING TO FIX, GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)

We realize that with new changes, there are going to be many questions about where things moved and how to do things you had gotten used to doing a certain way.

So we have made a few videos to try to answer a few of the commonly asked questions we have been seeing since the new design was released on Tuesday.

1. How Do I Preview My Blog Posts?

2. How Do I Bookmark a Post? How Do I Find My Bookmarks?

3. How Do I Find Featured Posts, First Blog Posts, Most Recent Blogs, Contests, And Other Basic Navigation

We are currently working up a video to show how Featured Images works and will be sharing that soon along with some resources for where you can find commerical free images if you don't have your own to use with your posts.

Please let us know what other questions you have an we will get you answers for those (and even make a few more videos if required)

KNOWN BUGS - Working on a Fix For These Bugs As We Speak

1. You are unable to make changes to your blog settings. If you try to update your blog signatured, or make any other changes in the blog settings area, you will be logged out. Currently, you are unable to make changes in this area. [FIXED]

2. Notifications flag stays lit up - Currently, when you get notifications and they show up as a number on the flag in the top right of the screen, if you click the flag to see those notifications, the number stays there. We are working to fix it so that the number disappears after you click it to check your notifications. [FIXED]

3. Saving Draft Posts with Images is Slow - working on this one.

4. Comment bar hovers over header when you scroll down on a blog post with a large volume of comments. Working on a fix.

5. You are unable to add a new neighborhood. If you try to add a new neighborhood, you will be logged out. [FIXED]

6. Responding to Referral Alerts will boot you out of the system

7. The "Preview" button makes its triumphant return! (Note: You have to save the post first before you can create a preview)

We will keep adding to this list as we log the bugs in our pivotal tracker software

I really like the update Bob Stewart - well done!!
however your new style page is messing with my blog signature hahaha I'm feeling a little like Anne Boleyn (take a look, you'll see my problem). Any ETA until we can edit signatures again. I have to add a snippet of CSS (line-height: 1.2em) to fix  my little "problem". New blog post in draft hope to get out saturday, but am holding until I can get it fixed.

Bob Stewart - Your videos in this post were uploaded to a site that that is blocked by Ghostery and thus show up as big blank square frames.  After some investigation and disabling each of the eight trackers it reports, one by one, I found that "Wistia" is the company somehow involved in the videos that also shares info with third parties.  You should consider posting to YouTube instead, as you have done in the past for many years since it won't be blocked.

I won't unblock Wistia obviously for the same reasons that I won't unblock anything when well known publications such as Fortune and the Washington Post try to tell me to unblock sites.

System won't let me add newest monthly video into the widget section on right of blog. Tried a few times - old one stays in.  Thank you.

Lyn Sims ,

Thanks for the report Lyn. I believe this is tied to the known bug of not being able to make any changes to the blog settings area. We are working on a fix for that right now.

Hi Bob Stewart, here are requests for the "nice to have" list, after you get to the bugs....

1. The new platform lets us post a picture that shows with the blog title.  It is a great idea, and you have had some members create posts that use it well.  I don't have photos that would be suitable for that...but some of the examples seemed to just have a two-toned colour background (lighter on top, stronger on the bottom).  This is very interesting to me.  Could AR offer it as an option, in an array of colours?  I don't know how those members managed to create that, not being much of a techie.

2. There are some questions that get asked over and over.  Some are about navigating in AR, some are about "how do I close down my AR account" and other various questions of great interest to the one who needs to know and zero interest to the rest of us.

What about a "perennial Q & A" section?  If (5?) different people tag you or go to bottom of the page and mark this question to be moved to that section, all the best responses to it are kept and the question sits there for future reference.  The instructions at the front of the Q & A page could refer the reader to check there, and when they go there, a key-word search could let them find their topic and all the questions about it.

Picking the "best" representative answers might be a little political, but shouldn't be too bad.  You don't have to mention who said it...do you?

Carol, I suspect what you're talking about with the two tone color is what happens when you select your topic group. Bob had another post that listed the color coding, but I don't have the link handy.  If you look at the home page, each of the features has a topic defined (Home Selling, Real Estate Best Practices, ActiveRain Community, etc.).  You'll note that each topic has a different color and it's consistent for that category.

Thanks for the status and bug fixes.

I noticed a weird time stamp on the notifications. I published a new post today and then received a like and a comment on the post from the same person. The like was received shortly after my post, but the notification for the comment says the comment was posted 5 hours before I published my post!

Readers, please hold your applause until I am done posting.
